Cobalt Blue.

Hello Lovely People *cheesy smile*
i owe you guys an apology, so I'm sorry :) i haven't posted in a while; bad blogger i know!

But i have a NOTD for you today; I'm going to Egypt on Sunday with my best friend so i wanted some bright and bold and the colour that jumped out at me when i opened my nail train case was Barry M's Cobalt Blue. I think this colour is perfect for holiday and will look wicked with a tan :)

I love this colour, the colour is so opaque and creamy when you apply it, which is for the price is amazing.
Pick this up for £2.99 from Superdrug.

Beetle Juice

NOTD for your lovely people :)

These new polishes have been the upcoming excitement for nail polish addicts and beauty lovers everywhere, when i heard about this collection; being a nail technician i was super excited! I love Models Own polishes; they are such great value for what you get inside that bottle, the polishes apply like a dream, and last just as long as a high end polish would.

"Models Own's BEETLEJUICE collection consists of five multi-tonal shades. Each bottle contains four pearlescent colours mixed into one gleaming shade for an optimum high finish. Inspired by the beautiful wings of a beetle, this collection mimics the complex colour-shifting with flashes of vivid tones and ethereal hues giving a shimmering duo chrome finish."

I chose to pick up Pinky Brown, Purple Blue and Aqua Violet;

I decided to try out Purple Blue first; the application may not be great as i had to paint my nails in the car on the way to a birthday party, probably one of the hardest things I've tried to do! You can get the gist of how amazing these colours are :)

If you wanted to change up the way your nails look, you could add a matte top coat, i used Rimmels Matte Top Coat. The finish it gives is gorgeous, looks like velvet and feels like it too :)

Halloween Nailssss

Hey Guys,  Happpy Halloweeeeeen!

quick NOTD for you, inspired but the time of year :)

  What i used to create this halloween nail look;
1; apply a base coat
2; paint all your nails with an orange colour, i used one by Missguided in the shade Misstaken.
3; once dry apply a black shatter polish very thinly over the nails except your thumb, i used Barry M's Nail Effects
4; Take any black nail polish, i used Rimmel's Black Cab. Apply some to a piece of paper, take a cocktail stick or orange/cuticle stick to create the 'BOO' on the thumb. I applied mine so it wasnt perfect looking, more crooked and leave to dry.
5; Once your nails are dry apply a top coat, i choose to use Rimmel's Matte Finish Top Coat.

Feeling Formal

Hey Loveliesss,
i know its been a while, i apologise. Haven't really been sure what to blog about!

i have a OOTD for you today, i had an interview last Friday and thought I'd share with you what i wore :)
hopefully it'll inspire some of you, if your not sure what to wear to an interview or formal event, you could even take pieces of this outfit and make them your own. I'm a big lover of blazers in any colour; so i think a good place to start is a blazer and black trousers or skirt, whatever you feel most comfortable in :)
i kept accessories minimal, wearing just my ice watch and gold stud earrings from H&M.

 What i'm Wearing:
Colour Block Blazer; New Look Sale, £14.00 Red&Navy
Beige Silk Shirt/Blouse; New Look (last winter) £24.99
Black High Waisted Trousers; Next, they were probably about £25.00
Tan Mocassins; Primark, £8.00
Focco Bag; Ebay, £30.00

Heres a close up of the blazer, i think this colour combination is perfect for autumn!

NOTD: Model's Own Sophie's Pink

hello again my loves,
Just a quick NOTD, its Sophie's Pink by Model's Own. Don't be fooled by the colour in the bottle, it may look like your average bubblegum/barbie pink. Certainly not; its super neon!

I was inspired to paint my nails pink, due to it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this October i think its so important we are aware of the daily struggle some women have to go through.
Don't judge me; i have quite an obsession with Model's Own polishes. seriously? they are just amazing for the price, they have an incredible range of colours and the application is a nail technicians dream, that's me then!
When i bought my first polishes of theirs i was amazed, i cant recommend them enough :)

My pictures are just not doing this polish justice, although its not a 'autumny' colour its perfect for Spring/Summer :)
This is the best picture i could get, 2 coats natural light.

Here you can see how it looks like a creamy pink, similar to Rose Libertine by Rimmel

Something Fishy?

Hello Beauties,

I recently learnt how to do a Fishtail Braid, which i was rather excited about, kinda sad?! who careeess!
I've never been able to do a French Braid, although i will keep practising!
its a great way to where your hair this Autumn/Winter, its a keen fave in the celeb world! Celebs such as Cheryl Cole, Blake Lively, Tulisa, Fearne Cotton and many others!

images courtsey of Google

Althought on those guys it looooks gorgeouss, mine doesn't seem to have the same effect somehow :/
maybe its the lack of length, damn you curly hair. you probably don't know but i have extremeeeely curly hair, i wear my hair straight 99.9% of the time as it gives me an extra inch or so in length! i have been growing my hair since i was about 4 years old, its finally starting to look long... ish.

Androgynous Inspired.

Hello again lovely people, i just posted a NOTD post as i mentioned at the start i've been trying to publish this post for 2 days now and Blogger wasnt having any of it. pfffft. On a more positive note i hope you all had a good weekend, and your week is going good so far!

Yesterday i reciveve a parcel from New Look with some items i'd ordered in their Mid-Season Sale. After trying on a Black Oversized Shirt, i was feeling inspired to channel a certain look that has been all over the catwalks this season; 'Androgyny' ; 'The whole world seems to be changing. Men become more like woman and woman strive to look and act like men. Fashion just cant escape this global trend. And as a results we see mannish shirts, suits, boots and hats in majority of Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 designer collections: Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga and many more.'

Here's my take on the trend:

This look is easy to achieve you may find that you have the items of clothing you need in your wardrobe already.
Black Oversized Shirt; New Look £10.00 (Sale)
Black Leggings; Next £8.00
Black Brogues; Primark £8.00 - £10.00
Focco(Handbag) ; Ebay £30.00
Pearl Necklace; Primark £2.50
For other accesories; Black Ice Watch, Black Leather Pandora bracelet, Help for Hero's bracelet and Pearl Stud earrings.
Also autumn has really set in; dark evenings and mornings, cold weather etc. i went out later that day so i threw on my Cream Boyfriend Blazer from Asos i think it was around £40/£50

Face of the Day:
Garnier Skin Naturals Eye Roll-on Concealer in the shade Light
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light 2

MAC Mineralised Skin Finish Natural in Medium
